We Westerners have no shortage of talented men whose parents didn't need to push them. If they've got the gift that makes math (or programming, etc) feel elegant and satisfying, they want to take whatever opportunity they can to keep exploring it and putting in the work; they'd feel their life would be unlived and understimulating if they didn't. The Western way is that if you aren't that guy, you don't belong in that domain, and that's okay. The field will be fine without you, and you'll be better off not being deluded into thinking you belong. This is the way that has produced Western excellence.

I went to a university that was about half Asian. I'm sure that my White male equivalent, even with my 99th percentile scores, would not have gotten in. But with the way things are now, it looks like that would've been for the better for him.

Is this a joke? I hope so, if not, your ignorance is off the charts and my guess is you know no actual Asian people, have not traveled to any Asian (huge diversity in countries and the population dwarfs the “white” world population) countries or even outside the US. Nothing wrong with that but lacking basic self awareness is so “white”
